BECCA DEAN
daughter. sister. friend. believer.
Hi! I'm Becca.
Northwest Ohio is where I grew up but Nashville, TN has been home for me the last 6+ years. I love it here— it’s an ever-changing and growing city full of passionate, kind, talented, hardworking people. Nashville has such a fun balance of busyness and solitude. There are constantly events, pop-ups, concerts, festivals, or a great new restaurant or coffee shop to try out, but finding a quiet hike or park is just a short drive away. I make it a priority to stay active and get outside as much as I can— I love traveling and exploring new places too.
My first sewing lessons came from my mom growing up... pajama pants were my first masterpiece. I love continually learning new things with construction, pattern making and design. I often go to my mom for help or I'll figure things out by making mistakes and trying again.
I’m inspired by the many entrepreneurs in my own family— from the apple growers to the music teachers to nutritional health counselors and salesmen. I wouldn't be doing any of this without their example and encouragement!
I have an odd balance of organization and chaos— sometimes my space is clean and crisp, but other times out of order and messy. I tend to not be able to live with either for a long amount of time so it’s constantly changing. I'm learning that having a "balanced" life is more of a myth and that flowing through rhythms while practicing healthy disciplines is what keeps me at my best.
Over the last five years I've significantly downsized my wardrobe and have intentionally incorporated high quality, neutral-colored staples. I know exactly what works with what in my closet, and putting together outfits is quick and easy, without overthinking. I want to share what I've learned with other women and help minimize the "closet full of clothes and still nothing to wear" problem! My style is ever changing and evolving. With a good set of basics and neutrals, I’m often in something pretty classic and minimalistic (and comfy!) But I also like to get creative with shoes, accessories or maybe a statement piece I found at a local thrift store.
In college I studied both entrepreneurship and fashion. I love all aspects of creating a business like this one— from designing and constructing the clothes to working through financials and setting goals for the future. This is a dream I’ve had for a while now and it’s been so much fun taking one small step in front of the other to bring it to life.
Thanks for stopping by!
xx,
Becca
